Shift BASE and sofort verstehen.
In industry, a robot often works relative to a table, fixture or workpiece carrier. This lab shows the principle in a deliberately simple top view using X, Y and rotation C.
Do not drag BASE with the mouse. Change X, Y and C deliberately so you can see what each value does.
One program – multiple workstations
Fixture shifted
A fixture plate is 200 mm farther to the right. Instead of reteaching every work point, the reference to the fixture is adjusted.
Twin stations
Two similar workpiece stations can use different BASE data. The sequence remains conceptually the same while the reference changes.
Pallets & workpiece carriers
When geometries are described relative to a defined reference frame, variants and positions can be handled more systematically.
Test your understanding
Task A · Shift
Stelle BASE auf X=300, Y=150, C=0. P1 bleibt lokal X=120/Y=80. Wo liegt P1 ungefähr in WORLD?
Task B · Rotate
Set BASE to X=200, Y=-100, C=90°. P1 remains local at X=100/Y=0. Observe how the local X direction now points in a different WORLD direction.
Task C · Industry question
Warum ist BASE-Verschiebung oft besser als 20 Punkte einzeln neu zu teachen?
How the principle appears in a real system
KSS documentation uses BASE_DATA entries and describes BASE values using X, Y, Z, A, B and C, either entered or measured. This web lab does not reproduce complete KUKA kinematics; it only explains the geometry behind the concept.
; Beispiel zur Orientierung – nicht blind an realer Anlage übernehmen $BASE = BASE_DATA[2] ; Punkte/Bahnen beziehen sich nun auf die ausgewählte BASE
On real hardware, BASE, TOOL, points, load data, workspace and safety must be correctly configured and checked by qualified personnel.
