The scheduled service exists, but no confirmed realtime information is currently available for this section.
Using the SO-OEPNVPRO
For quick use on the go: enter origin and destination, use GPS, compare the best journey and switch directly to departures, map or Jarvis Navigator when needed.
Your journey in 4 steps
- 1Choose origin
Enter a stop, address or place – or use ⌖ GPS to use your current location.
- 2Enter destination
Use a stop, station, postcode/town/street/house number or another destination.
- 3Find journey
Depending on your selection, the planner compares public transport, walking and a standard bicycle and shows the fastest options.
- 4Board
Check line, direction, time, changes and – where reported – platform or bay. Then open the map or Jarvis Navi.
Address, postcode & GPS
Free text is usually enough in the main field. While you type, matching places, streets, addresses, stations and stops appear. In Europe mode, for example, “Rome” is enough to select Rome in Italy as a city. Under Address & options you can also enter postcode, town, street and house number separately. GPS is requested only after you tap the button.
- Suggestions while typing – labelled as city, address or stop
- Select a stop or station directly
- Postcode + town + street + house number supported
- GPS as origin
- Selected suggestions retain their exact coordinates
Understanding journeys
Multiple results are shown as a compact accordion. At a glance you see departure, arrival, duration, lines and how well the journey fits. The fastest or most suitable option is opened first; further details appear only when you tap it.
- Green: direct connection / direct to destination
- Yellow: journey with a change
- Orange: longer final walk
- Red: check destination/end point – these results are sorted to the end
- Platform/bay, direction and changes in the expanded trip details
Departures board
Search for a specific stop or use GPS. The next departure is highlighted; further services can be filtered by bus, train, AST and realtime.
- Next departure visible immediately
- Platform or bay where supplied
- Delays, cancellations and notices
- Save stops in your browser
Lines & trip progress
Search for a line such as C2, R49, RE11 or another bus/rail service. Choose a specific run, view its full stop sequence and route on OpenStreetMap or the OSM globe, and save frequently used lines in your browser.
- Choose a specific run and direction
- Stop sequence with times and platform/bay where supplied
- Route on map or OSM globe
- Optional GPS trip companion: compare your own device position with the trip
- Saved lines and a shareable link to the selected run
The GPS trip companion shows your own phone position along the selected trip. It is not automatic vehicle tracking; an actual vehicle position is shown only if a data source explicitly provides it.
Open lines & trip progress →Deutschlandticket & AST
The planner distinguishes standard D-Ticket services, long-distance transport and demand-responsive services. AST is shown as its own pre-booked service with a possible surcharge, not as a normal taxi.
- D-Ticket ✓ on eligible local/regional transport
- D-Ticket + AST surcharge when AST is identified
- long-distance transport shown separately
- AST Soest with contact and advance-booking information
OpenStreetMap & 3D globe
The map deliberately shows only your planned journey with origin and destination. The OSM globe uses the same MapLibre geometry spatially in 3D. The colour legend lets you show or hide walking, bus, regional rail, long-distance rail and other sections individually or together.
- Origin, destination and actual journey on the same map
- Route colours by transport mode
- Filter sections individually or together
- Load the OSM globe only when you need it
Travel & English
On the home page choose Regional, Germany or Europe. Tourists can switch the interface at the top using DE | EN to English.
- search international places, stations and addresses
- cross-border journeys where data is available
- local transport at your destination
- English stays active when changing pages
Favourites, sharing & Jarvis Navi
Frequent journeys stay stored locally in your browser. A journey can also be shared via a random, time-limited token link. For the last mile, a destination can be handed over to Jarvis Navigator.
- Favourite journeys in the browser
- Share link for WhatsApp / Telegram / system share
- Token instead of a plain-text route in the URL
- “With Jarvis Navi” passes destination coordinates
What do timetable, realtime and “not reported” mean?
The data source supplies current information, such as a predicted departure or delay.
The planner does not invent information. If the source does not provide a platform or bay, this is shown explicitly.
May require advance booking, special booking conditions or a surcharge. Relevant information appears directly with the journey or stop.
The application combines open timetable, realtime and map data. For short-notice changes and binding transport information, the official information from the relevant operator remains authoritative.
Quick answers
Can I use a full address instead of a stop?
Yes. You can enter a free-text address or postcode, town, street and house number separately. The planner finds suitable access routes and stops.
What happens if I enter only “Rome” or “Amsterdam”?
After a few characters, matching place and stop suggestions appear. If you select, for example, “Rome, Italy · City”, the planner keeps the exact coordinates and can plan the onward journey from there.
Does the planner request GPS automatically?
Are all displayed times realtime?
No. Realtime is only marked as such when the data source provides it. Otherwise the planner deliberately shows “Timetable”.
What happens with AST?
AST is shown separately. Depending on the place and journey, advance booking and a reduced surcharge may be required even with a Deutschlandticket.
Where are favourites stored?
Favourite journeys and saved stops are stored locally in your browser.
Will my request survive F5 or a page refresh?
Ja.
Can I send a journey to somebody else?
Yes. The planner can create a time-limited token link and share it through WhatsApp, Telegram, your device share menu or the clipboard.
Can I view the full route of a line such as C2 or R49?
Yes. Under “Lines”, search for the line name and then choose a specific run or direction. The planner shows the stops supplied for that run and its route on the map. On lines with branches or variants, the stop sequence can differ depending on the selected run.
